Die Krone

The location right in the town center was great, and the owners were very friendly. The whole hotel was extremely clean, and the restaurant was great. Our room was spacious, with a balcony and a beautiful castle view. There's no A/C, but they provided a fan, which helped. The bathroom is very small, though it was fine, and the beds are quite firm, so keep that in mind.

We loved the little town and would have liked to stay longer. The people were friendly too. In the room, the kids shared a three-bed room with a cute little balcony looking over town. The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful. As we were about to drive away, we asked whether they had any recycled utensils we could use on the road. They managed to find some and ran them out to us just as we were nearly pulling away. We arrived by car and got a parking space behind the hotel, but spaces are limited, so reserve early and make sure you have one. Otherwise, there's public parking somewhere else. We also had a wonderful meal at the hotel soon after arriving. When we left the next day, we found a bakery and bought pastries and Black Forest cake for the rest of the drive. We'll definitely visit again and stay longer if we get the chance.

We had a lovely view of the Haupstrasse, aside from the rubbish in the middle of the street waiting to be collected early in the morning. The service was very nice, though they didn't tell us what was on our plates when the food arrived. Our four-course vegetarian dinner tasted great, especially the homemade ravioli with cantharellen and krauterschaum as the main dish, and the dessert. We'll go back for dinner!

A truly lovely hotel experience. This family-owned gem is clean and exceptionally well run, with lovely meals and all the thoughtful little extras you hope for when traveling. The family are warm and friendly, and serve every guest with real care and love. Everything is spotlessly clean.
