The menu could use a vegetarian option or two. Aside from that, we had unbeatable value for money at this mountain inn, even with the slightly hectic holiday atmosphere. We stopped in with our two dogs after hiking up the Hohe Möst and enjoying the gorgeous views. We’ll definitely return.
The hiking and the surrounding area were wonderful, and I felt right at home during my three days at this welcoming, cozy guesthouse with its own restaurant. A real hidden gem. Thanks for such a lovely stay, I’d highly recommend it.
The service was so heartfelt, thank you for everything! I found just the place I needed for a Rennsteig hike with my dog. It’s a hidden gem, and I’ll definitely come back with my family :)
We felt welcome right away thanks to the attentive, friendly service. The room was on the small side, but cozy and clean. Breakfast is well worth having, and dinner was delicious: roast venison and roulades with dumplings and red cabbage, plus woodruff lemonade and a Kellerbier. This peaceful cabin in the woods has a beautiful view of the Thuringian Forest. Thanks for a wonderful time, we’ll be back in the fall.
We ate here twice and felt comfortable both times. It’s small and cozy up on the mountain, with fun, attentive staff. The view is great when the weather cooperates ☀️ Keep it up, and hang in there!
