The food was the main draw: we chose the special set menu, and every course was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The shrimp with beetroot and strawberries made for a fresh, flavorful start, followed by rich, creamy asparagus soup. The rhubarb panna cotta was both tart and sweet, and delicious. The wine list had good options by the glass, and the staff were attentive, knowledgeable and keen to make the evening special. Restaurant Krone gave us a sophisticated but welcoming fine dining experience just five minutes from home. We'd heard lots of recommendations from friends and locals, and we're glad we finally went. The food, service and atmosphere all lived up to the quality. We'll be back, and next time we'll bring more friends.

I had the roasted wild boar with spring vegetables and a traditional dumpling, a bit like stuffing, and it was excellent. There's a decent wine selection to go with the specialties, too. Our hosts brought us to this cozy, pleasant place for a midweek dinner. We appreciated the traditional dishes and their focus on local sourcing. Worth a visit if you're in the area. A note on my ratings: I rate outward from three stars.
