I slept in complete darkness and quiet for once, thanks to the great curtains. The rooms are up to a high standard, and the buildings and surroundings are well kept. There’s a lounge for coffee or a drink, plus a gym and a lift. Breakfast was great, and so was the restaurant, which even has a kids’ play area off to one side. My only room complaint was the awful hairdryer. The staff were kind, helpful, and patient with my poor German.

We stopped overnight on our way back to Denmark and had a really great stay. The staff were great too. Special thanks to the chef for a wonderful dinner!

We couldn’t eat on our first night because we arrived after 8 pm, when the restaurant was closed, and there was nobody around to help. We also never saw a staff member during our stay, so there was no one to ask about the food options or sauna. When we eventually found the sauna the next morning, it wasn’t working. The stay fell well short of what we expected. A very poor experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The rooms were clean and elegant, with comfortable beds, and the food was very good. Staff were friendly, too. Set in beautiful surroundings, it’s an excellent hotel. I truly recommend it!

The lack of air conditioning meant we had to sleep with the window open, and mosquitoes came in, leaving us with quite a few bites. That made the night uncomfortable and put a dent in an otherwise lovely stay. Still, we’d recommend Landgut Stemmen, especially for the location and meals. We had a really good dinner in the hotel restaurant, with a menu that suited us, after a pleasant stroll around the village. The hotel sits in a beautiful little village, and the setting has a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast the next morning was another highlight, with lots of fresh, tasty choices. If you’re there in warmer weather, bring insect repellent.
