The restaurant food is excellent, and the location overlooks the Sternberger sea. I'd ask for a sea side room on the second floor, where you can watch the soccer field from the porch. Fischerei is just a short walk past the field, with smoked Fisch, fish on a bun, beer, or coffee available for lunch. Just so you know, the rooms don't have fridges or AC. We enjoyed our meal here. The roast rib with prunes, red cabbage, and dumplings was delicious, and the staff were really friendly. I can't comment on the rooms, but the area around here is worth visiting.

We found this restaurant on Google Maps while looking for dinner after a day trip to Sternberg. This is only a review of the restaurant. A sign outside said "Private Event," so we nearly left. Then a friendly woman from the restaurant spotted us and invited us in. We had three kids under 10 and it was only 5:30 pm, but she made an effort to find us a table. The party had either left or hadn't arrived yet. The restaurant was empty at first, then gradually filled up. The setting seemed a little upscale, so we wondered if it would work for children. The welcome put us at ease, and later someone brought over building blocks and a memory game. The wait for the food was short and easy for the kids. Everyone was very friendly, and there should be something for everyone on the menu. All our meals were excellent. Prices are in line with current trends and reasonable for what you get, with especially fair drink prices. We'll remember the visit fondly and recommend the restaurant to families with children.

The waitresses were cheerful and attentive when we celebrated my 60th birthday there. They had set up and decorated a lovely table, and we had a great time in the restaurant and on the beautiful grounds by the lake. We didn't book a hotel room, but everything looked tidy and well cared for.
