The setting has potential, and it may suit someone looking for quiet and seclusion, but our stay a few years ago with a family friend was disappointing. We had to clean before settling in, since things were pretty dirty, and clear away food the previous guests had left behind. We liked having breakfast later, but by the time we got to the bakery in Stolpe, it was usually sold out. We were told, “you’d better get up earlier.” I hope that’s changed since then. It’s also quite a way by bike to the sea and the Kaiserbäder spa resort.

It only took a week for us to fall for this quiet, lovely complex. Everything felt clean, cozy, and idyllic. We’d be glad to return next year.

The setting was peaceful and beautiful, and the apartments were in impeccable shape, very well renovated. The Wi-Fi worked without a hitch. There’s bike rental right on site, plus plenty for a family with small children to discover. The prices are more than fair, so there’s nothing to complain about. And the caretaker was the warmest I’ve seen in a long time.

The landlord was very pleasant to deal with, and having a lockable bike room of your own is a real plus. The apartment’s laid out nicely, with a cozy balcony and a great view. The complex has lots of pretty thatched-roof houses, something the description doesn’t really make clear. It’s a little out of the way, though everything is easy to reach by bike. Cleanliness could be better, with cobwebs and the like.
