The room was great, and we really enjoyed the food. Staying in a castle made it a fun stop for the night, and most of the visit went very well. We arrived at 17:45 hoping to have a drink before dinner, but were told the restaurant wouldn't open until 18:00. Since reception and the restaurant share a room, we stood there with the drinks menu while the staff set the tables. It felt a bit odd, especially as we were the only guests there all evening. I think most of the rooms had been booked by a wedding party.

The village sits below the castle, which is perched on a hill and has splendid views. You can drive up, or take the stairs down to the village. Living in a castle felt surreal. I had an amazing time, and would absolutely go for it!

Up on a hill, this enchanting castle made for a wonderfully unusual stay. It keeps its historical charm but still feels like home, and I was very comfortable. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful, and breakfast was filling.

The room interiors were spectacular, with an old-time feel alongside modern comfort. We stayed two nights with our little dog, and found the place quiet, romantic and beautiful, just what we wanted. Our host was friendly and helpful, and even gave us a private castle tour. We got to explore the underground areas and other dodgy spots, the kind of places I've always loved discovering. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, and the food was exquisite and delicious, well worth the price. A great choice for anyone who enjoys nature, peace and quiet, class and quality.

We booked 19 rooms, and every one of our group had an exceptional stay. The staff were happy to help, even when we were being difficult. Our rooms were beautifully prepared, dinner was great, and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. Wonderful in every way. I'd recommend staying here without hesitation to anyone who'll listen. Please don't change a thing. Many thanks for the hospitality from me and the other 19 people who stayed with you.
