Landhotel Wesenitz

This was our fifth stay at Pension zur Puppenstube, and we’re already planning to return next year. There’s always something new to notice, whether it’s a recently renovated and modernized room or another detail. The owners are still wonderful and go above and beyond. The food is amazing, and breakfast is delicious as always, with lots of homemade items. We have no complaints at all and will be back next year!

It’s a handy base for trips to Saxon Switzerland and Dresden. Our room was clean and spacious, and the sauna is beautifully designed, though we didn’t need it in the summer heat. The well-kept pool even has Wi-Fi 😉, and the Fritz repeaters throughout the hotel give good network coverage. Breakfast was good, with scrambled eggs available on request. The restaurant is run separately, so you can’t add the bill to your room. We were unlucky that it was open on only one of the three evenings we were there. The food was good, made with fresh ingredients, and the staff were friendly.

Breakfast was served at the table because of Covid, and it was carefully presented with everything we could want. The restaurant food was excellent, and the service very friendly. We also enjoyed the pleasant stay, the lovely beer garden, and the beautifully designed grounds. We highly recommend staying here!

The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the hotel is a lovely place to relax if you enjoy peace and nature. The owners are very friendly, the rooms clean, breakfast delicious, and the restaurant food good. The staff really make an effort to welcome guests. Nearby sights are easy to reach by car.
