Vienna House by Wyndham Baltic Stralsund

We were really disappointed, especially since the room didn't look like the pictures. It didn't feel like a 4-star hotel. At first, there were cobwebs everywhere, the floor was dirty, and the chair had food marks or something on it. The TV was small, and there wasn't even a mini fridge. The room looked old, as if it hadn't been properly renovated for years, or at least had never had a decent repaint. There were marks all over the walls.

Our executive room was large and fairly clean, but the carpet and curtains were in poor shape, and one towel had a yellow dirty spot. Several things advertised on the website were missing: Bottled Water, Plates/Bowls, and the Welcome Gift. There was no kettle or mini fridge either, which was very disappointing.

The breakfast staff and bartender were the best part, really friendly and attentive. Breakfast itself was okay, but the juice tasted like disgusting flavored sugar water. The location is useful, about a 10-minute walk to the Ozeaneum and city center. The hotel is very outdated and poorly maintained. The carpets are especially dirty and worn, and the rooms are bleak with very old furniture. There's no room cleaning during your stay unless you specifically ask, no matter how long you're there. The bathroom is okay, but you have to shower in the tub. It looked like the hotel was used for bus tours of elderly people. At 150€ or more a night, it's definitely not worth the money.

The rooms were really quiet, and the hotel was within walking distance of the center. But the furniture was old, and the wall-to-wall carpets had lots of stains. Dinner at the buffet didn't taste very good. Breakfast was very basic, and the hot food wasn't prepared well.
