Zur Mühle

We stayed from May 19, 2025 - May 24, 2025, and the hosts welcomed us with 10 chicken eggs and homemade honey, such a thoughtful gesture. They were very nice throughout our stay. The location was just what we'd hoped for, quiet and tucked away. The property is lovely, with greenery, a pond, and a covered patio with a grill. There is loads of room inside. Upstairs are three double bedrooms with remote-controlled exterior blinds, and the beds were excellent. Downstairs, the well-equipped kitchen even has a washing machine, next to an open-plan room with a large table and seats. There is a huge TV on the wall, plus a spacious living room with a big seating area and, I think, a 70-inch smart TV. The electric fireplace can also be used for heating. There's another bedroom and a bathroom with a toilet and bathtub, while the basement bathroom has a shower. The people from Magdeburg, Bitterfeld, and Chemnitz say thank you! 👌👌👌😃😜

The garden was a lovely place to relax, and the children had a great time there. We found the rural surroundings very quiet, and the hosts were warm without being intrusive, which we appreciated. They even left us a little chocolate treat and some tips for the area. The house was spacious and in great shape, with a very successful renovation and excellent furnishings, especially the kitchen. The media equipment was extensive and in excellent condition. Beds were made up for us, and there were plenty of towels waiting on arrival. Everything had been arranged with care. We spent a short autumn break here and found it an ideal base for exploring the Spreewald.

The covered outdoor barbecue spot is fantastic. It's a cozy, roomy holiday home and a great base for trips into the Spreewald, whether paddling, cycling, or doing something else.

We stayed at the Freienhaus zur Mühle in early March, hoping to enjoy the Spreewald's quiet season. The garden has peaceful places to relax as well as plenty of room for kids to play, and both it and the house are well kept and welcoming. Inside, the tasteful furnishings make it comfortable to spend time even when the weather is bad, with games and books there for spending time together. Everything you need for a relaxing, active holiday is provided. The landlady is attentive to guests, always ready to listen and offer good excursion tips. We had a great time and will definitely return.
