Landgasthof Struckum

The staff all made me feel looked after, from the warm welcome by the owner to the rest of the team. On my way back from Sweden, I stopped in northern Germany and picked Landgasthof Struckum in the quiet village of Struckum after reading its good reviews. I felt welcome right away, so I wanted to share my experience. I arrived on a Sunday around 6 p.m. The inn is right on the B5 in Struckum and was easy to find. There were plenty of parking spaces outside, at least 15 by my estimate. I was impressed that a rural inn offered online check-in. A friendly man greeted me and handed over the key. I later learned from the website that he was the owner, Mr. Bohn. The room was bright, spotless, and well supplied, with a kettle, coffee maker, plenty of teas and coffee pods. Everything matched the description. The website photos also seemed current and honest. I haven't seen hotel photos that accurate in a long time. I'll attach a picture of the room and bathroom, though the restaurant and outdoor area looked just like the official photos. The place seems very up to date digitally. The website lets you check in online and reserve a restaurant table, and there was even a QR code to connect automatically to guest Wi-Fi. That was a nice surprise, since I've only seen that at much more expensive hotels. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Landgasthof Struckum if you're nearby. I think the good reviews are completely deserved. 👍

The staff were very friendly and paid close attention to the details. Everything in the room was new, tastefully arranged, and very clean. Room three wasn't ideal for ventilation because the smoking area was right below it. Still, it was okay, since nobody was there after 9 p.m. The price was toward the upper middle of the range, but we had a very pleasant stay.

The breakfast buffet was on the small side, though it had everything needed for a good breakfast, and they cooked scrambled or fried eggs fresh. The staff were polite, attentive, and accommodating. The rooms are modern and stylish, very clean, and quiet despite the nearby road. The inn is easy to reach, and its purple logo color is carried through the decor in a stylish way. A great experience overall.
