B&B Hotel Stuttgart-Neckarhafen

There's a familiar, consistent standard across B&B Hotels, which makes booking easy and means you know what to expect. The overall standard here was very good, and it was easy to get comfortable. Some details let the rooms down. There were no ceramic cups or glasses, and the bathroom had a loud, constant fan-like noise from some kind of airflow system. Some rooms lacked a proper chair, and in one of the rooms I stayed in there was nowhere to hang a towel in the bathroom.

Getting into the city centre takes a little travel, since the hotel is about 1.5 miles out, but there are bus and rail links nearby. The Porsche and Mercedes museums are close enough to walk to, and there's a 24-hour garage next door selling pastries and other things. The place is clean and tidy, with well-kept, well-equipped rooms. Its security setup helped me feel safe. The price was reasonable, and I had a good stay while visiting Stuttgart.

On checkout, there was no one at reception for an hour, and a long line of arriving guests had to wait, including someone needing a wheelchair. Earlier, the website booking was easy to use and prompted me to join B&Bme, but the room I had reserved was still occupied by someone sleeping, with clothes everywhere. The receptionist didn't believe me at first, then offered me another room on the same floor. The bed and bathroom were good, so the stay was solid, if only medium class.

The restaurant next door is great, but I can't recommend the hotel. During a Stuttgart trade show I paid more than ever for this brand, and the beds were uncomfortable. It felt like a place to sleep while away on business. Most of the process is automated, so I found it hard to give the service a good rating. I seriously doubt I'd stay here again.
