Hotel-Linde

I was pleasantly surprised by the room. I had a single, and it was a good size, looked recently renovated, and was clean throughout. I’m very sensitive to dust and mold because of allergies, but didn’t notice a thing. The bed was really comfortable too. The hotel isn’t in the city center, though two U-Bahn stations are five minutes away or less, and an S-Bahn station is about a ten-minute walk. The center is around 15 minutes by U-Bahn or S-Bahn. Staff were nice, and check-in and later interactions were pleasant. I didn’t have any big requests. I only wish breakfast had been available.

We came for a work trip and spent a bit of the first evening playing cards. The next day we were told we’d been too loud. It seems many guests are workers who turn in early and get up very early, and the walls are paper-thin, so it’s not a great combination. Still, for a short, inexpensive stay it was okay. Cheap and decent enough, though the bathroom is tiny.

The room was comfortable and there wasn’t anything wrong with it for the price. The people there were great and helped however they could. The Porche museum is fairly close, and the trams into Stuttgart city center are just a one-minute walk away. I’d stay there again.

My stay in October 2017 was really unpleasant. They closed the kitchen on purpose because there were only two of us and they didn’t want to make breakfast for so few people. The hotel staff didn’t speak English, so whenever we needed something we had to wait for the one person who did. We were on a business trip, with all expenses covered by the company that made the reservation, a huge company in DE and around the world, but they still pushed us to pay as soon as we arrived. My colleague’s room had no wardrobe, and the WiFi access was very limited. I made sure my company removed this hotel from its list. I’d suggest others do the same if they have any self-respect.
