The apartment was spotless, thoughtfully organized, and had everything we needed. We stayed a week and explored the Black Forest, and coming back to Haus Sonja made the trip even more fun. Our ground-floor place had a little stream outside, and the hosts were attentive and spectacularly kind. Their English wasn't very good, but their care showed in all the details. The booking page doesn't have many recent photos, so you might not expect it, but the place felt like a dream. We felt at home far from home and would highly recommend it.

The owner was polite, though distant and quite businesslike. The room was inexpensive, but next time I’d rather pay a little more. The mattresses were uncomfortable and could use replacing. The bed looked dated, and there was an IKEA wardrobe for clothes. Outside, the view took in the garden and a building plot, with a mountain blocking the scenery. There was too much stuff in the room, especially in the cupboard meant to be the kitchen. The appliances were stacked on top of one another, and the fridge sat on a balloon above a dishwashing tub. It felt cluttered. A simple seating spot with two cups would be nice, and a kettle would do. There’s a REWE supermarket about 200m away, with a small restaurant where you can get a good breakfast for a few cents. Tip: tidy up that makeshift kitchen.

Everything was there for a holiday, including a microwave and coffee machine. The hostess was very helpful, and the place was very clean. Everyone was very friendly.
