A short walk takes you to the historic city center and its ancient sights. The hotel itself is in a historic building, but the interior is modern. We enjoyed the classic local food in a pleasant setting, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. A lovely stay.

The morning self-service breakfast was nice, and the restaurant mainly serves game, which I heard is very good. They also have steaks and chicken. The rooms are large and cozy, with a free minibar. There are freezers outside the rooms stocked with beer, mineral water, and some kind of Coca-Cola, Fanta, and Sprite, all free. Wi-Fi worked well, though it depends on where you are in the hotel. It’s a beautiful rustic place that feels both old and modern. All my stays here have been really nice.

I only got to stay one night, unfortunately. The hotel is a distinctive place in Suhl, with its old Fachwerk architecture, and it's in a quiet setting. The staff were very friendly, and the restaurant on site has a nice range of food. If you're staying in Suhl, it's definitely worth considering.
