Hotel Landhaus Klöckener

Since 1998, we’ve come here with our children, families, and friends, for holidays, geocaching trips, and family celebrations. We’ve always felt warmly welcomed and very well looked after. The food at this family-run place has impressed us every time. Wishing them all the best and continued success. Greetings from the Lower Rhine!

I was here for a wedding, and the food was absolutely fantastic. Our server, though, seemed to have lost her smile and looked unmotivated. The chairs were another real problem. They were very worn, and after sitting for a while, the springs pressed through the upholstery and hurt. It wasn’t just my chair, the chairs at our whole table were like that. We talked about it several times that day.

The welcome and service are friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the food is always delicious. I do think it’s a shame they stopped offering a buffet quite a while ago. Apart from that, highly recommended.

The restaurant service was quick, efficient, and friendly, and the menu had a very good range. I especially noticed that its vegetarian choices were more varied than at other restaurants. I tried the schnitzel, but it wasn’t really to my taste. It was thick rather than pounded thin, and the coating was soft instead of crispy. The meat was very tender, though the seasoning was subtle. To be fair, it usually comes with a sauce, which I declined. Prices are on the higher side, but not expensive.
