A beautiful place.

Archsum is peaceful and small, just right if you're looking for quiet, and you can drive to anywhere in just a few minutes. We booked this small, lovely hotel on a whim for two nights, and our garden suite was upgraded to a deluxe garden suite. It was spacious, refined, and elegant. After we asked, we could even bring our somewhat energetic dog to breakfast. Mr. Blass was a very friendly hotelier and kept in touch as we arrived. Breakfast was sensational, with everything you could want, and the staff were incredibly kind. We felt right at home and are thrilled with the stay. We'll definitely return. Thank you so much!

We felt at home and well looked after from the start at this lovely, quiet hotel. The rooms are furnished with great taste, and the pool and sauna area are very clean. Kerstin, our breakfast fairy, deserves a special mention. Her positive energy always cheered us up, and the staff were fine. The hotel's setting is ideal if you're after peace and quiet, and I enjoyed my stay overall and would recommend it. Still, after returning to the Garden Suite Deluxe for a week, fourteen years after our previous stay, I came away thinking the hotel has declined considerably since 2011. I still liked the decor, but the carpet was frayed, and some things had apparently been moved around for practical reasons. The small kitchenette that used to be hidden in the built-in wardrobe has gone. It was handy for making a snack when we didn't feel like going out for dinner. I suppose it needed too much upkeep, but it's a shame some things seem to have been sacrificed as the effort increased. The weather was rather unpleasant, and the mattress was much too hard for me. Seven nights made that a challenge.
