Room 111 had loads of space, and the staff were nice. The restaurant serves excellent food, especially for anyone who enjoys meat. Breakfast was up to the standard of a four-star hotel. The sauna was fine at around 85°C, though I wish the swimming pool had been warmer.

We liked the great location and found the staff friendly, but we won't be back or recommend the place. In our view, calling this a four-star hotel is a complete exaggeration. The bathroom had no hooks or shelves, and cleanliness was poor. Dirt in the stairwell would sit there for days. Our room cleaning was canceled because of illness, but there was no replacement. At meals, there were more guests than restaurant seats, and it took us several tries to get dinner. The dishes all tasted alike, there was little variety and hardly any regional produce, and the juices were very watered down. We spent Christmas here, but there was no festive atmosphere at all. We even had to ask for holiday music.

Breakfast was superb, with everything available, and the dinner buffet had something for everyone. We also enjoyed the excellent, refreshingly cool swimming pool. The hotel sits a little back from the forest edge, so it was quiet at night. There was no air conditioning, but the weather was good. Recommended, and good value for money.
