We came with five families and a dog and felt completely at ease. This lovely farm is in a peaceful spot in the middle of a nature reserve, with all sorts of animals. The stay felt like a mix of a holiday camp and a holiday apartment. It has everything needed to relax, without luxury, which nobody needs here. A big thanks to Ms. Hollerith for her advice and help.

My great-grandfather Robert Lantz was born in 1899 and came from Königsrode in Prussia. Has anyone in the area come across surnames like this? It would be great to make a connection.

The area is recommended for animal watching. I counted 200 whooper swans, 12 great bustards, 1 great egret, 100 wild geese, and various kinds of goshawks. I wasn't sure whether I also saw 4 storks.
