Shops are nearby, and they serve breakfast and dinner if you want them. The rest of my stay was disappointing, especially for the price. The hotel looks old and dated, and while the rooms have been upgraded, noise came from both other rooms and the road. The new shower was hard to regulate, either really hot or really cold with barely anything between. The slow elevator didn't feel safe. The pillows were either too big or completely flat. There was no fridge, and the motion-sensor lamp came on when I walked to the toilet at night.

Tarp is only a village, not a metropolis, but Landgasthof Tarp is handy right in the centre, with a few decent little shops nearby. The hotel has an old-fashioned style, though it's well maintained, and everything is decent, including the meals and breakfast. The cooked eggs were the best I've ever had in a hotel! Staff are friendly, and dogs are allowed.

There was plenty of street parking, and the service was friendly. The room felt a little dated, but it was clean.

We got a great welcome and the breakfast was good. Dinner was very busy, so we were seated in a function room, which took away from the atmosphere. It's a nice hotel with a large, functional room that has good fittings, and the shower was good.
