I came away quite disappointed, especially since it wasn’t cheap. The rooms have been updated, but they’re noisy, with sound from other rooms and the road. The shower is new, but the temperature swings between really hot and really cold with barely anything in between. The place looks old and dated, and I don’t understand the reviews. The elevator is slow and doesn’t feel safe, and the pillows were either too big or completely flat. There’s no fridge, and the strange motion-sensor lamp comes on if you walk to the toilet at night. The only pluses are that shops are nearby and they serve breakfast and dinner if you want.

The cooked eggs at breakfast were the best I’ve ever had at a hotel! The meals were good too, and everything was decent. The hotel is a bit dated in style, though well maintained. Tarp is a village rather than a metropolis, but Landgasthof Tarp is conveniently located in the center, with a few decent little shops nearby. The staff are friendly, and dogs are allowed.

There’s plenty of street parking. The service was friendly, and while the room looked a little dated, it was clean.

We were welcomed warmly, and the breakfast was good. Dinner was very busy, so we were seated in a function room, which took away some of the atmosphere. It’s a nice hotel with a large, well-appointed, practical room and a good shower.
