Garner Hotel Stuttgart - Zuffenhausen by IHG

The U15 stop is the one real convenience here. My room was clean and the bathroom was roomy, but it faced the parking area beside a large door that people kept slamming, even around 2 or 3 in the morning. The soundproofing was poor, and someone knocked on my door twice overnight, possibly because of its location. If you're a light sleeper, that could make it hard to rest. It was strangely hot in the room despite it being winter, so I had to use the hotel's fan. There was no kettle, and the Wi-Fi didn't work. A few staff members were kind, which is the only reason I gave one star.

The hotel is handy for trams and trains, with supermarkets and other shops close by. Our room itself was spacious, clean, and pleasant, though noise from doors between the parking area and hotel carried in at night. It also stayed warm despite the winter weather. The temperature controls were confusing and didn't work properly, so we used the extra standing fan. For toiletries, there was one product for body, hair, and hands, and it wasn't replenished during our stay. Staff said they would bring toiletries if we asked, but we never got them.

When our Booking.com reservation ran into a problem, the receptionist offered us a room that wasn't available yet so we could have somewhere to spend the night. We really appreciated it. The service was excellent.

We couldn't get internet in our room. We raised it with the staff three times and got a different response each time: on the first night they said they'd call support, the second night they said they could only offer another room, and on the third morning they apologized and agreed we were right. Some receptionists also struggled to speak English well. The room was otherwise okay, though the walls had odd opaque stains and the bathroom had no ventilation. Breakfast was fine, but the sweet options could have had more variety.
