The rooms are beautifully furnished, and each has a little kitchenette with a fridge, sink, Nespresso machine, and what you need for a light snack. Breakfast spoiled us, too. The lounge is a lovely place to hang out whenever, whether for games or a chat in the evening. Drinks and snacks are available on an honor system. A movie night with popcorn and punch made our stay feel complete. The hotel is in the charming village of Tating, just 8 km from St. Peter-Ording, so it’s peaceful but still close to the sea. We felt right at home and will definitely return. Thanks to the friendly staff, especially the owner, Ms. Kramer!

The Wellenreiter has become a real gem in Tating, thanks to Ms. Kramer and her team. They’re always incredibly friendly and professional, and the breakfast is highly recommended. If you’re not staying at the Wellenreiter, be sure to book breakfast ahead. The movie nights are amazing and make a wonderful cultural event for Eiderstedt. Since the nearest cinemas are in Heide or Husum, it’s great to have films here in Eiderstedt too ;-) The old hall, formerly a gymnasium, has been beautifully renovated and is worth seeing. Add the charming cinema atmosphere and it’s superb. We’re looking forward to many more events and encounters at the Wellenreiter!

We felt really comfortable here. It’s a lovely old building with a nice room, good breakfast, and great personal service. We were lucky to catch a film screening in the theater during our stay. It was fantastic, with popcorn and delicious drinks! 🤩
