Hotel Drei Kronen

The food was just okay, nothing special, and the service was really bad. I asked for one kind of tea and got something else without any explanation. I could have understood if they'd told me my choice was unavailable. I also asked to swap the potatoes in the menu meal for something else. They said, "of course!" but brought the menu potatoes anyway. It's not a huge deal by itself, but if I pay for a meal and every request gets a yes, then I expect what I asked for. The cakes looked like discount freezer cakes, and when we visited last October they sat out all day on a buffet tray during the pandemic. Also, don't look up: the ceiling and curtains weren't very clean. We came because we had a coupon, but we're never going back.

There were wasps everywhere that week, so sadly we had lots of them here too. The food was really good, though. I'd recommend the Schnitzel, served the typical German/Austria way, or the salmon my dad had, which was great as well. We went last August.

The village-center location is convenient, and there's a private parking lot, though it's on a very steep hill. The place has an old, picturesque style, but our room on the second floor was extremely hot. It was over +40 outside during the day and there was no AC; early morning was only +26, so at least I managed a nap then. The room's wifi was very poor, if it worked at all, and streaming radio or music wasn't possible. Breakfast was a poor selection. Cheese, ham and fresh fruit were left on the table without cooling, and flies from the neighborhood kept visiting that part of it.

Lovely view from the outside terrace, a great spot for a drink. The staff were friendly and the kuchen was delicious.
