BODEBLICK

The team were so attentive and went out of their way to make our stay amazing. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and have everything you need. The hotel is tranquil and peaceful, and both breakfast and dinner were beautiful. If you're not very fluent in German, the owners can help you practise speaking it, and their English is exceptional. We'll definitely come back. Thank you to the staff!

The room was smaller than it looked in the pictures, and breakfast was very limited. The staff weren't nice.

The food was homemade and absolutely delicious, and it wasn't even expensive! The staff were so friendly and polite. They made us feel genuinely wanted there, and were lovely with our toddler and dog, who both felt comfortable. The place itself is beautiful and very scenic. We can definitely recommend it and will be back!

The place is peaceful and well managed, and the restaurant serves hearty traditional German food in generous portions for very reasonable prices. The setting is lovely and looks like the photos online. Staff were friendly and helpful, and speaking German certainly made it easier for me to enjoy both the stay and the Harz region. I didn't try their English, though. I got there easily by bus from Thale, followed by a 10-minute walk from the stop. I wouldn't recommend that with lots of luggage, since I saw no taxis in the small village. Driving is probably easiest, but note their warning that parking is across the pedestrian bridge. Also, the stairs could be a problem for anyone who finds them challenging.
