Thale worked really well as a base for visiting popular places in and around the Harz Mountains. We felt completely at home in the Sagenhaft vacation apartment, and the welcome drinks waiting for us were a nice touch. The place is tastefully furnished, with lots of care in the details, a well-stocked kitchen for making meals, and everything else we needed. There’s also a rooftop terrace, though we barely used it in winter. Arrival and departure were easy, and the hosts were always reachable if we had questions. Thanks for a lovely stay, and all the best to the family. We’d gladly recommend it.

We felt very comfortable here. The terrace looking out toward the Hexentanzplatz is a real highlight. Inside, the apartment is tastefully furnished and has everything you need. The landlady lives in the same building and was friendly and available without being intrusive. Highly recommended.

We were met with a very friendly welcome from the owners, and the welcome drink was especially appreciated. The apartment was beautiful and exceptionally clean. The location is excellent too, with the cable car and train station less than a 10-minute walk away.

The terrace had a superb view, and the apartment had everything we needed for our family of two adults and two children during a few days in April 2018. The John family had thought of so much, including toys and movies to keep the kids busy on rainy days. Each morning, fresh bread was delivered. We had a fantastic time, thank you!

We had a wonderful stay in this vacation apartment in February 2020. It was spotless, comfortable, and furnished with care, and the kitchen had everything needed to cook for ourselves. The bread delivery service was fantastic, and the landlords were very friendly. Free street parking was available. Highly recommended 👍
