The location is fantastic, right in the forest, and ideal if you want peace and quiet and some hiking. We stayed for 3 nights. The room was clean and cozy, and the sauna was very nice. I’d have liked more fruit at breakfast, but otherwise it was what I expected from a 3-star hotel.

6/10
We were there for a weekend, and the Harzresidenz has fantastic grounds and a great location. Breakfast was really very good for a hotel of this size, and the bed was very comfortable. The room itself was nice, but the light only worked if we used force, and there was a sewage smell in the bathroom. The sauna area was lovely and cozy. The worst part was the gentleman at reception. He was rude when we arrived and throughout the stay, with poor service and a bad attitude toward guests. When we asked questions, he snapped at us and gave curt answers. Tourism isn’t for everyone.
