A lovely little cluster of cabins, and the breakfast was great.

We found this place while searching for somewhere to stay on a short hiking trip, and it turned out to be fantastic. From the minute we arrived, we felt comfortable. It's rare to find a hotel this inviting, charming, and exceptionally clean. The people were so lovely that we wished we could've stayed a few more days. We'll definitely be back! 🥰

The setting was peaceful, with lovely views and a quiet night thanks to the neighbors. We could walk to the Hexenplatz (Witches' Place), even though the accommodation sits quietly in the forest. Everything was spotless and beautifully furnished. I really appreciated finding a bowl and a small towel for my dog's paws. Breakfast was delicious, with nothing missing, and the woman who prepared it was incredibly friendly. It was a fantastic short trip to Thale, and a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

We only had one night here while visiting a local Christmas market, and hope we can come back sometime. Check-in was quick and relaxed, and the "Lynx" room in the Canadian log cabin was warm when we arrived, spotless, and stylishly furnished. After the drive, we chose the "Cold Vegan Platter," which was more like a whole meal than a snack and exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was just as good, with lots of homemade vegan and vegetarian spreads, cheeses, muesli, and little desserts. Everything tasted wonderful, and the staff were attentive and friendly. The guesthouse is tucked away in the forest, peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet easy to reach. The view over Thale is beautiful, especially at night with the town lit up. The value for money was excellent. We'll recommend it to anyone looking for a great place in the Harz Mountains. Thanks for taking such good care of us 💕
