We went to the lovely restaurant at Sonne-Post hotel with friends and their young child. The food was really nice and the service was great. My wife is gluten intolerant, but they made her Schweinschnitzel with a coating without breadcrumbs, especially for her.

We stopped in on the way to our hotel around late lunchtime, and they were still able to fit us in. The waitress was very friendly, the service spot on, and the food absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was amazing, with lots of attention to detail that made for a great meal.

The breakfast was superb, and I’ll definitely come back. The food is very good, with local game choices like deer steak and deer stew. The cook seems a little too concerned about staining the pans 😉, since the meat could use a bit more browning, but that’s only a small observation. It’s a typical Black Forest hotel in the best way. The rooms are spacious and cosy, really clean, with excellent bedding. I slept like a baby.

The food was great, though a little less salt would suit it. The staff were very attentive and gave us excellent service. They even brought side tables so we could put out the different dishes and share.

The German food was delicious and the staff were good, but our food took a long time to arrive. Maybe we came during a busy period. It was worth the wait, though!!💓 danke
