Kuckucksnest Jostal

Everything we ordered for dinner was really tasty, and the waiter and owner treated us so kindly, especially our baby. They even offered us a typical digestif at the end. We hope to come back!

The weather was poor, so we couldn't enjoy the outdoor space, but it was nice to visit again after a few years. The people were friendly and the service was good. We enjoyed the hospitality, beer, food and room; breakfast was fine too. We chose from the seasonal dinner menu, with the asparagus as a highlight. A really pleasant evening.

One of our best dining experiences in the Black Forest. The German food was absolutely amazing, and the staff were very friendly.

It’s a lovely place in a good location, and the staff are lovely too. But staying here is harder if you don’t speak German, since most staff don’t speak English. Breakfast is dull and has little variety. The biggest issue is the so-called “Free WiFi”: it’s terrible, if it works at all. You’d be lucky to send even one message, and there’s no cell reception either. If you want to disconnect or don’t mind being out of touch with the outside world for your whole stay, this could suit you. If not, think twice before booking.
