We stayed downstairs in the “Wohlfühleckl” apartment, one of two in the Wolferstetter family's holiday home. It was clean, modern, and great for two people, and we felt comfortable there. The insect screens and roller shutters were especially useful in midsummer. Mrs. Wolferstetter was a lovely, helpful host. We enjoyed the quiet and natural surroundings, and could get to Salzburg, Burghausen, Tittmorning, and other towns easily. The nearby train station made Salzburg convenient, while Lake Chiemsee and the other lakes were good for walks and bike rides. Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday.

Irene is really nice, and the place looks lovely and was very clean. We had the radio on the whole time, and I’m completely satisfied. One thing I hadn’t seen mentioned: the large room with the double bed has a glass door. The photo shows the room as we left it, not how we found it. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We felt at home in no time. The apartment has thoughtful details and everything we needed, and Irene and her husband were warm, friendly hosts. It’s also a handy base for visiting Burghausen, Salzburg, Lake Chiemsee, and other places. We wholeheartedly recommend this gem and wish Irene many more lovely guests.

The apartment is even nicer in person than it looks in the pictures. It was our first visit, but we liked it so much that we booked both apartments for December right away. The owners are wonderful, and we’ll definitely be back.
