We used the hotel as our base for walking in the Black Forest, and the location was perfect for exploring. The rooms, spa, and food were all very good. It’s clearly a family run hotel, judging by the great service from every staff member we met. We’d book again.

I was so disappointed that I’d never recommend this place to anyone. Even one star feels too generous. There wasn’t even coffee in the room, the bed wasn’t comfortable, and the spa was too far from the main building.

The food was good, but I didn’t feel well there, despite this being called a wellness hotel. Our evening table was in a small, dark corner, even though our room was one of the better ones. On the first night, smoke from the room above filled our room with a fireplace, so we had to air it out for half the night and were really scared to go to sleep. Also on the first day, the hotel dog attacked our little puppy. Apparently, it has problems with puppies. The pool was right under our room and noisy during the day, and the room wasn’t cheap. The pool was also too far from the sauna, so you have to walk halfway across the hotel to get from one to the other.

The accommodation and hotel facilities were very nice, including the meeting room, sauna, and pool. The food was very good too. I’d recommend staying here.
