I had the whole apartment to myself, and it was spacious, fully furnished, with its own kitchen and bathrooms. It was a very good bargain in reality, but I still have to rate it poorly. There were no towels or soap, not even hand wash, and the kitchen had no salt, sugar, or coffee. A traveler staying one night isn't going to bring all of that. I had to bathe early in the morning without a towel and leave in 6-degree weather.
The flat was modern and fairly clean, and mostly quiet despite some traffic noise. The manager was nice, though he was only around for a few minutes. This isn't really a hostel, more a flat with rooms for rent. There's another section downstairs that may be more like a hostel, but I didn't stay there, so I'm not sure. The room called a kitchen had only a microwave and electric kettle, no fridge, sink, stove, or oven.
What a shame.
There's a shared kitchen, and that's worth one star. The beds are like ones in Bundeswehr barracks from 30 years ago, and there was no heating at 7 degrees Celsius. The shared toilet wouldn't close, and the window shutters wouldn't open. Simply a disaster.
The owner couldn't be reached, cancellation wasn't possible, and Booking.com didn't respond. The place was filthy, with bedbugs and a disgusting bathroom. Absolutely unacceptable. One star is far too generous.
