I live locally and had only recently found out about the Bio Hotel’s breakfast. When my sister came to visit, I joined her there. It’s an easy short walk from Tönning’s train station. Breakfast felt like a proper gourmet treat. So much was homemade, from fresh fish and breakfast meats to vegetables and more. The woman serving was lovely and even offered me some fig butter she’d just made. I was impressed, and might make this a regular breakfast spot. Thanks to my sister for staying here!

We had a balcony in our room, which suited my husband and me as smokers, and the place is dog friendly. Breakfast was decent and served until 11, a bonus if you like a lie-in. There’s complimentary tea in the lobby too. It’s easy to walk to most things from here, and lovely beaches are only a short drive away.

A quiet spot, a lovely room with a balcony, and a beautiful breakfast.
