The quiet surroundings made it easy to unwind, whether I wanted time to myself or was there with a partner or a small group. I loved staying here. The staff were kind, breakfast was fantastic, and the food was delicious. The spa was a real treat, and they even found room for a massage despite all the appointments being booked. For the price, the service and spa were amazing. I’ll definitely come back.

The good breakfast and the owner’s very friendly wife were the only real bright spots for me. The spa looked fairly new, though it could still use more attention to upkeep. We were mostly on our own in the spa, but the owner came through twice to inspect it. That felt very uncomfortable while we were undressed. When we raised the problems with the hotel, he waved them away and got agitated. His main concern seemed to be that we’d brought in a few small drinks. Given the very high price and the state of the place, we thought that was reasonable. He was unfriendly for the rest of the evening. The rooms were also poorly cleaned, with cobwebs, dust, and a dirty toilet waiting for us. And when we arrived, the owner made a sexist comment to our group of women. I’ve never felt this uncomfortable at a hotel. I’m surprised to see so many positive reviews, and I can’t recommend this one.
