Kleine Apartments

The apartments have a lot of charm, and they’re modern, clean, and practically furnished. Still, we won’t return. We didn’t feel welcome: the landlady seemed anxious that our baby and teenager might damage something, and asked for an unsolicited deposit specifically because we had children. After our stay, the hallway was cleaned, and we were told not to bring in dirt, even though we were soaked from the pouring rain. There was also a lot of shoveling outside our door at night, which made it hard to sleep. The beds creaked badly, and some were quite worn. There’s no parking at the property, though free street parking around the corner is available after 4 pm. We’ll need to find somewhere else for our next visit with our grandmother.

The landlady lives in the house and is easy to reach if you need anything. There’s video surveillance in the entrance, and check-out is promptly at 10:00 AM. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen and modern bathrooms. The room size is just right for two.

They welcomed us warmly, and the room was clean, but it never got properly warm, either during the day or overnight. In November, with 6 degrees Celsius outside, both the room and bathroom often felt very cold. A real shame.

The bed was the one real downside for me. It was very soft and creaked so much that I woke up whenever I turned over. 😖🌛 The room had everything necessary and was practical, and the side street was lovely and quiet. I got a very friendly welcome by phone, and even though my landlord was on vacation, I was allowed to call him. 😀😃
