Bed & Breakfast Sandra Müller

We arrived late without a reservation and decided to try our luck. It turned out to be one of our best decisions. The owners were sweet and caring, and the room was clean and spacious enough for us to sleep well. In the morning, a nice buffet breakfast was ready. Parking was easy too, with a space near the hotel.

If you’re relying on a bike, bear in mind that Burg has quite a few climbs and not many places to eat. This was one of the less enjoyable stops on our Mosel bike tour, though that wasn’t down to the hostess or her mother. The room was very warm and otherwise just okay. There was so much information on the bedside table, and the adjustable bed with synthetic bedding and mattresses that felt too soft to me didn’t help. The house also had an unpleasant smell. Sandra was friendly, though at times a bit much with the other guests.

We stayed in a holiday apartment twice in 2025, once in late May and again in early October, when we had the top attic apartment. Both were fully equipped and decorated with so much care. From the upper one, we could watch the boats on the Moselle directly. We felt at home, and so did our two little dogs, who got treats from the senior owner. When we asked for the heating to be turned on a little earlier in the morning, the request was handled promptly. For our next stay, we’d like a blackout blind on the bathroom window.

The fridge had a lovely selection of excellent old wines to taste, and breakfast was varied and delicious, with something for everyone. The room was gorgeous, the decor very stylish, and the setting beautiful. Our hostess was so kind and friendly. Highly recommend this accommodation.
