Hotel Gonzlay

Adam, who I believe is the owners' son, was a real highlight. He carried my luggage and made sure I was comfortable, and his kindness and professionalism left a strong impression. I wish him success, especially if he takes over the family business. Breakfast was pleasant, with a decent choice, though parking costs extra, which was inconvenient given the state of the hotel. Hotel Gonzlay has a quaint, personal feel as a family-run place, but the age of the building shows. The decor and facilities are dated and need major renovation. The shower room was disappointing, with visible stains and discoloration that made it feel less clean. The hotel has potential, but renovations would make a big difference to the guest experience.

The room had a nice balcony view, and overall I had a good stay. It felt safe and secure, and Traben Trarbach wasn't far away. The lady was friendly and made a very good breakfast. An omelette with cheese and fresh banana would have been nice additions. There were no kids' plates.

From the outside, the building might not look like the right choice, but inside I found a very pleasant hotel. It's welcoming to cyclists and pets, the breakfast is good, and the staff are friendly and supportive.

Spacious rooms, helpful staff, and the service was the best. Great for this price.
