The hotel didn’t feel like good value for the price, and the staff member’s behavior made the stay worse. The woman at reception was rude and unfriendly from our arrival until the last minute. When we returned to collect our bags, a dog was loose in reception and came toward me. I was already unsure what to do and wasn’t trying to touch it, but she shouted at me not to touch the dog. It was an unpleasant, unprofessional experience.

The reception staff were both very kind. The lady even stayed up to check us in at midnight and microwaved our food in the morning. We spent last weekend here with my other half, and it was a lovely stay in a beautiful, peaceful spot with wonderful staff. I’d love to come back and see more of the area, especially the two museums right across from the hotel. Thanks for the great hospitality!

The breakfast was the best we had during our 10-day trip along the Rhine and Mosel. Inge and George, the owners, are especially friendly and helpful, and their family has run the place for more than 100 years. The hotel is very well cared for and renovated, with new, high-quality appliances. It’s a pleasant, very quiet place by the river. The bed, pillows, and comforters were so comfortable I didn’t want to get up. The bathroom was good too, with a window.

Right across from the wine festival, the location gave us a fantastic atmosphere and made it really convenient to enjoy. We stayed two nights. This is a lovely boutique hotel, very clean, and the owners are so welcoming. They also have a beautiful little daschund. Breakfast was delicious, and we’d definitely stay again if we visit the area.

Breakfast was generous, with table service for eggs and different coffees made to order, plus a buffet of extra treats. We could also sit on the sunny terrace overlooking the Mosel. The rooms and bathroom were clean and well kept, and we had everything we needed. Our room faced a side street, but noise wasn’t an issue: the windows are well insulated and the street is quiet. The old building has plenty of character, and the hotel is in a lovely, convenient spot. The owners manage and serve it themselves, which you notice from the moment you arrive. There’s limited parking in front, with plenty of free public parking across the road by the quay. A few personal preferences: we’re not keen on a small dog wandering freely in a food area, the mattress was a little too firm for us, and replacing the room carpets in future renovations would improve things. Still, we had a lovely stay in this cozy, personal hotel, and we’d recommend it and come back.
