Boutique Hotel Villa Melsheimer

The friends at my table had beautifully presented meals, and my garden salad with chanterelles was seasoned just right. I was there for lunch last Wednesday as a guest, so I didn’t get to stay longer, but the owners and team clearly know how to offer sincere, high-quality hospitality. Well done!

Breakfast was good, but the room and bathroom felt a little dated, and the website photos looked much nicer than what we found. Maybe some rooms have been renovated and others haven’t. We’d seen pictures of a sauna and jacuzzi and thought they were for hotel guests, but they’re only for the suite. I checked the amenities afterward and neither was listed, so that was my mistake for not reading carefully. Pictures can be misleading.

Even with the place busy, the service was very good. We were impressed by the tasty regional food and its reasonable prices, and there was a good wine selection too. The hotel is charming, the rooms are beautiful, and the owner is lovely and always smiling. We’ll definitely be back.

The breakfast buffet had everything we could want to start the day, and the menu and food were excellent. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable, and the staff are friendly and competent. I’ve stayed here many times on business, then booked a weekend with my wife. The service and quality were excellent as always. Britta Melsheimer and team, thanks for a great stay and excellent accommodations. We’re already planning to come back next summer. For either a business trip or a holiday in the Mosel area, I don’t think you’ll find a better hotel.
