Upstalsboom Trassenheide

We spent two nights at the Upstalsboom Hotel while visiting my husband during his spa stay in Trassenheide. Luckily, the hotel was able to arrange breakfast for him with us on both days at short notice. Breakfast came in two sittings. Our family room on the ground floor was spacious, and we were very happy with our stay. I’d recommend it. One thing that could be added is a changing table for toddlers.

The staff were so friendly and felt like a real team, and they even managed to take care of an extra request I had. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and the evening snack selection was just as good. We spent a long weekend at this hotel and felt incredibly comfortable. I’d give it another star if I could! Thanks for everything, we’ll definitely come back.

For a short stay, Upstalboom Trassenheide is a good choice. It’s tucked away in a traffic-calmed area near the beach, and both the hotel and apartments have free parking on site. Everything was clean. The simple rooms have small balconies and bathrooms, and you get to them by stairs. They use room keys rather than cards. The beach is just a few meters away. You can reach it by steps through the woods and dunes, or walk about five minutes along the beach promenade. Breakfast has everything you need to start the day, served in two sittings with assigned seating. It’s also a handy base for walks to Karlshagen, about 4.5 km away, or Zinnowitz, around 3.5 km away.

The staff deserve a special mention. They’re friendly, resilient, and very flexible, and they always find a solution even when things get difficult. The apartments are quiet and very clean, right by the beach, with well-equipped kitchens that have everything you need. It’s excellent value for money. Highly recommended!
