The Halloween evening was a real highlight: The hangman's daughter was told by a puppeteer between courses, and the food was delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout our visit. My daughter had treated me to a castle stay, and I loved the beautiful views from Rapunzel tower. The climb is worth it, and I'd happily visit at any time of year.

Parking is right outside the castle, and climbing the tower is fun. We felt so welcome thanks to the staff, and enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. The whole place had a lovely fairy-tale feel. I loved it.

I only stopped by for coffee and a visit to the Rapunzel Tower and Museum, since I didn't stay at the hotel. The tower was well worth seeing, and the staff were amazing, with helpful local information and great customer service. If I'd known it was a hotel, I would have stayed here.

The included breakfast was great, and the spacious rooms made for a really nice stay while exploring the area. Everyone was helpful and the service was amazing. Even my tween daughters, who aren't that into fairy tales anymore, loved it. A must stay, especially with kids who love Rapunzel.

The restaurant was a treat, with delicious food and friendly, attentive service. The rooms and service were spectacular too, pairing a genuine old castle feel with up to date bathrooms. Hotel Burg Trendelburg is a great first castle stay. The location is said to have inspired the Brothers Grimm story Rapunzel, and walking into and up the large tower makes that easy to believe. There are good places to explore nearby, including Hann. Münden, with its fantastic half timbered houses, and Sleeping Beauty Castle Sababurg, which was closed for renovations in Dec 2023. Goslar is also a worthwhile longer drive. You do need a car to get here, but driving makes it easy to see the local sights.
