Breakfast and dinner were both amazing, though you pay separately for them. We had a wonderful week at this beautiful former monastery. The hotel sits beside the peaceful Moselle River, with historic buildings around the neighborhood that we enjoyed walking through. The staff were incredibly helpful and made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. It was easy to get into Trier by bus from a stop a couple of blocks away, and trains made trips to Burg Eltz, Cochem, Luxembourg, and other places pretty straightforward. We’d highly recommend Kloster Pfalzel for a romantic couples’ getaway.

The restaurant and ground floor could use some maintenance, and breakfast felt expensive at 40 euros for two given the amount and range of food. Still, staying here was a great experience. The old building, its location, and the river view are all impressive, and the recently renovated rooms feel stylish and cozy. I hope things improve soon.

The bed was super comfortable, and the views were fantastic. The menu was great too, and service made everything feel easy and lovely. I booked the hotel and was still stunned by how good it was.

Nights were very quiet, and the room was a good size. The beds, bathroom, internet, and breakfast were all perfect. We also found a free bottle of water in our room each day. A really nice hotel with a personal touch.

We had reserved and got what was surely the best table on the terrace. Sitting beneath the linden trees with drinks and that hillside and forest view was lovely. He said his Coq au vin was wonderful, and my asparagus with hollandaise was very good, as was the schnitzel with it. Excellent setting, service, and food.
