The bed was a little soft for my back, though that’s just my preference. Everything else was lovely: a nice atmosphere, really friendly staff, and clean, tidy rooms. The restaurant food was very good, and the portions were generous.

The price was absolutely right, and we had a fantastic wedding at the Waldhotel on June 6, 2026. The staff were lovely, incredibly friendly, and great with the children. Our rooms were clean and nicely decorated, and the service was excellent throughout. We’d definitely recommend it.

The cat sitting on the chair beside us made breakfast a fun start to each day. Breakfast itself was modest, with little variety, but enough. We stayed several nights as a couple in a double room on the second floor, and its size surprised us at first. We also noticed there were no ceiling lights, some windows had no curtains, and there weren’t any mosquito nets. The bathroom was roomy but bare, with almost nowhere to put things. We were satisfied with our stay.
