KING's HOTEL First

We stayed as a family for six nights and had a great time. The family room was spacious, nice, and very clean, and the bed was one of the best we've slept in. The baby cot was great, there was running hot water in the room, and the voucher offer was a lovely touch. Thanks to the young woman who helped with the cleaning. The registration desk staff were excellent, especially the women from Australia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, who made us feel welcome and gave our baby girl a sweet gift. The restaurant staff were nice, too, especially the white-haired gentleman who helped us a lot. A few things could be better. We had to pay for slippers, though I think they could be provided in the rooms. There was a coffee machine but no kettle, which isn't very fair to tea drinkers. The soundproofing wasn't great, and the trams and early-morning construction workers were really annoying. The air conditioner didn't work consistently and failed altogether on our last night. The restaurant's baby seat was broken, though the staff kindly helped us. Sadly, there were a lot of homeless and drunk people around the hotel.

The location was great, and the rooms were lovely. Breakfast had plenty of food and tea choices. The chef, a very nice gentleman, came by to check that the food was good. We were welcomed by a helpful man on arrival. There was a little tram noise, though there isn't much they can do about that. We'd visit again and highly recommend it.

The staff made us feel very welcome, and the hotel breakfast was wonderful. We liked the cozy lounge and bar, and there were plenty of good restaurants nearby. The area felt safe. Getting around was easy, with convenient transport links and a simple subway train ride to and from the airport. It was also a pleasant short walk to the old town and Christmas markets. If you skip daily housekeeping, you can hang the supplied bag on the door and get a €10 voucher for a drink at the bar or some food.

The room was compact but nicely decorated, with most of what we needed. The coffee provided in the room was a bit sparse, though there were free tea and coffee downstairs. Since we were beside the road, trams and building works made it noisy. We still slept fine after long days, but it's something to keep in mind. Breakfast was excellent, and the warm staff and relaxing reception and bar area made the stay enjoyable. I picked this hotel to balance location and price, and it met my expectations. I'd recommend Kings Hotel First Class.
