Park Inn by Radisson Munich Frankfurter Ring

For a business trip, the location was convenient: public transport is close, an Aldi is across the street, and breakfast was pretty good with a decent variety. Staff were very nice. But the hotel’s quality fell short. The rooms were small and stuffy. There’s a small kitchen, but no minibar or fridge, which was inconvenient when I wanted to keep water cold on a hot day. Street-facing rooms are noisy, and I happened to be there during two nights of road work, with workers laying new asphalt right below my window. Staff were no help dealing with it. Cleaning was lacking too. Housekeeping had serious trouble leaving the bathroom clean, and there was hair in the shower. Otherwise, it was okay for business.

The room was clean and the U-Bahn is convenient, though the shower room is small. There’s no vending machine, so snacks and drinks cost bar prices, like 2.5€ for a 0.2L Coke. Breakfast was fairly standard, a little more substantial than a typical American continental buffet, and satisfying enough for a free meal.

The breakfast was good and had plenty of variety. The hotel is within walking distance of BMW FIZ, so it seems especially suited to business travelers. Rooms facing the busy main street can be noisy. It’s better if you get one looking toward the back of the hotel. Underground parking costs 18€ per day, and there aren’t parking spaces available in the surrounding area.

Breakfast was a highlight, the coffee was great and the food was good quality. My room felt comfortable and clean, with the lights placed in a cozy way. Some rooms have balconies, and BMW FIZ is about a 10-minute walk away. The only thing missing was a view.
