There’s no breakfast anymore, apparently because responsibilities changed. Parking is the usual Tübingen headache: there may be no spaces, or they can cost up to €30 a day here, so look at the nearby residential streets. A staircase gets you down to the city center quickly, though the climb back leaves you out of breath. The room is pleasant and very clean, with its own bathroom and access to a shared kitchen. It’s in a former guesthouse belonging to the University of Tübingen’s former tropical clinic, and has a nostalgic student-life feel. The window looks out over the whole Albtrauf, from Reutlingen past the Zollern mountain range and farther beyond.
