The innkeeper clearly likes doing things his own way, and that makes a stay here memorable. The food is unusual and the atmosphere has its own character, so it won't appeal to everyone. It's an experience for anyone wanting to try something different, though whether it's what you expect is up to you.

We felt at home and are already planning to return. The campsite is surrounded by nature, with reasonable prices and really friendly staff. The restrooms were very clean, too. It's a large place and takes plenty of organization, but there's still room to enjoy your stay independently.

We managed three nights and found it okay, but we won't book again. The pitches at Waldschänke are only 8x8 meters, wide open, and packed closely together, so forget about privacy. Still, the other campers were considerate and kept things quiet. The check-in was exemplary, and the sanitary facilities were spotless.

A really good campsite with all the essentials. I'd recommend it.
