The bridges and ponds give the place a romantic feel, and the roses are especially lovely when they’re all in bloom in summer. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot for a walk, a few photos, or just sitting and taking in nature on a quiet afternoon.

I come here just to walk around and unwind. There are lovely flowers and trees, a small lake, and even a playground for kids. There’s also a park cafe and hotel if you get hungry. I haven’t eaten at the cafe or restaurant or stayed at the hotel, so I can’t say anything about the food or accommodation.

The best part is the outdoor dining area, with its view over a little lake and rose garden, just as the name suggests. The restaurant was okay, and the lobby staff were very friendly and helpful. Free Wi-Fi only works in the lobby. I stayed for a couple of nights on a business trip. The rooms are basic and really need redecorating, though the bathroom was okay despite having a shower curtain. The room also has a stocked minibar and a safe. It was clean overall, and the price is reasonable for the area.

The leaning tree of Uetersen is a nice feature. Couples exchange wedding vows in the pavilion between the lakes, and the park is open to enjoy all year. It’s especially beautiful in summer, when the roses are in full bloom.
