The meat dishes were cooked just right and tasted great, and the service was very friendly. My meal was okay overall, but the sides could’ve been fresher: the red cabbage was overcooked and the dumplings lacked a bit of flavor. The child’s bratwurst was very dry and didn’t seem fresh, almost as if it had been microwaved. Still, there are other good dishes on the menu, so it’s worth going for dinner.

The food was okay, though we’ve had better for less. We also brought a dog, and they charged €5 per day. That might be reasonable if there had been room service, but with the dog not there, charging twice for it didn’t seem right. The rooms are extremely dated and not welcoming, and the beds aren’t great. There’s also a mess of cables, with individual wires sticking out of an extension cord and various things plugged in. On top of that, even though it’s only €4, you pay for Wi-Fi, parking, and TV. Parking was stressful from the start. A big sign said “Parking in the courtyard,” so we used it when all the public spaces out front were taken. After ten minutes, we were told to move because cars and trucks with trailers were arriving and there wasn’t enough room. Luckily a front space opened up, but you need a parking disc there. They said overnight parking was fine, just not all day. If there’s no space out front, it’s quite a walk. We won’t come back to this country inn. If you want easy parking and friendly service, this definitely isn’t the place.

A charming traditional restaurant with very friendly service. We’ve eaten here several times, at Christmas, Easter, and in between, and the food has always been very good for reasonable prices. If you’re after good Franconian cuisine, this is the spot. Highly recommended.

We came for a pub sing-along with the Schneesenger Trio, and those three really know how to get everyone singing. The owners organized it very well, and there was a small menu. Even with the place busy, the staff were very friendly. It was cramped, though. Maybe that’s part of the charm.
